Best Places to Live and Launch

Fortune Small Business just announced their 100 Best Places to Live and Launch.

They started by ranking the 296 Census-designated metro areas by business friendliness (Launching Score, % New Businesses) and lifestyle offerings (Living Score). Then reporters assessed which towns within each of the top 100 metro areas best blends business and pleasure.

They considered business factors such as tax rates, job growth, and the number of airline flight connections within a 60-mile radius; and lifestyle factors including the number of parks and arts venues within a 15-mile radius, health infrastructure, and average temperatures. Also evaluated were percentages of startups, population growth, crime rates, and housing costs.

Local entrepreneurs, officials, and business experts were then interviewed to discuss business programs, tax incentives and zoning, as well as leisure resources.

The outcome, the Fortune Small Business list of the 100 Best Places to Live and Launch.

The top 10 are listed below – did your city make the list?

Together song and the movie inspire two great questions:

What do you need to say? and What’s on your Bucket List?

What a wonderful place to start your exploration into the life and career you want to design!

In fact, if I was making a tape for the participants of this weekend’s clinic participants, Say would be the first song!

I hope it inspires you to think about what you need to say!
